Sixty Years Ago

Ishpeming - Extra switching crews are being worked by the
C&NW, DSS&A and LS&I railways to keep mines supplied
with cars for loading ore from stock piles and pockets
and large strings of cars are moved out of Ishpeming daily
to the docks in Marquette and Escanaba.
