It is alleged that a regular cannon ball of a fast mail
train will go whizzing across the upper peninsula and out
through Canada by way of the Soo pretty soon. It is to
cover the distance between Vancouver, on the Pacific coast
and St. John's, New Brunswick, in four days and is
expressly designed to carry the English mails between the
old country and China and Japan, Australia and India.
