Source: The Mining Journal Marquette, Mi. November 16, 1889 Saturday Negaunee - There have been lively times in the railroad yards for the past few days. Wednesday night a train of ore cars was ditched on the "east branch." Thursday afternoon as the engine that pulled the east bound freight on the DSS&A was switching near the depot here, it left the rails and three hours were spent in getting the big locomotive on the track again. Yester- day morning South Shore No. 10 while at work at one of the mines was derailed. It took several hours time and a gang of men to get it in shape to run again. DSS&A x
