D., 1890, before the undersigned a Commissioner for the state of Mi., in said state of New York, personally came George H. Church, the President and Stillman Gray, the Secretary of the Negaunce and Palmer Railway, to me personally known to be such President and Secretary and to be the pevsons who executed the forgoing instrument on behalf of said company as the President and Secretary thereof respective- ly and. whose names are thereunto subscribed as such officers; and they severally duly acknowledged the same to be their free act and deed as said President and Secretary and the free and voluntary act and deed of the said Negaunee and Palmer Railway for the uses and purposes therein expressed; and the said George H. Church and Stillman Gray being by me first duly sworn did depose and say that they are respectively the President and Sec- retary of said company as hereinbefore stated, that they know the corporation seal of the said company, that the seal affixed to the foregoing instrument is the corporate seal of the said company, that the said instrument is signed and sealed on be- half of the said company by authority of the Board of Directors thereof and that they signed their names thereto as such pres- ident and secretary, by the like authority.
