Hall & Buell of South Manistique, will remodel their plant at Bay Mills this coming winter. It is thought that a planing mill and and box factory will be erected and their sawmill, which now cuts about 110,000 feet daily will be remodeled. This company is also building a spur to their mill running from the line of the DSS&A Rye, which runs from the "Soo" to Duluth. In building this road they have to pile Whiskey (Waisca) Bay, and expect to have this road completed by spring. Heretofore this mill town has not had a rail connection and every thing has had to be brought in oy lake, and shipments are also made from there in the same way.
