The worthy car checker and general pusher of the DSS&A, located
at Mackinaw came near meeting with a serious accident last Monday.
A consignment of household goods including a number of ducks were
unleaded on transfer shipment. Jim endeavored to drive a pair of
ducks to water and the ducks flew in his face and nearly blinded
him. But under the skillful treatment of Dr. Reycraft he will
keep his sight and learn to let the ducks alone in the future.
