		In consideration of the purchase by Dr. Caroline Bartlett Crane of the remaining copies of EVERYMAN?S HOUSE at 35[cents] a copy, Doubleday Page and Company agree to turn over to Dr. Crane the plates of this book, and affix their signature to the following assignment of their rights in the book:
		
		MEMORANDUM WITNESSETH THAT, for a valuable consideration, we, DOUBLEDAY PAGE & COMPANY of Garden City, Nassau County, N.Y., a corporation organized and existing under the  laws of the State of New York, hereby assign, transfer and set over unto DR. CAROLINE BARTLETT CRANE, of Kalamazoo, Mich., all our right, title and interest in and to the copyright taken out by us in the United States of America, in and to the book entitled EVERYMAN?S HOUSE by Dr. Caroline Bartlett Crane, and all our right, title and interest under our contract with the author for the publication of said work.
		
		TO HAVE AND TO HOLD ALL THE SINGULAR the said copyright and rights of publication unto the said DR. CAROLINE BARTLETT CRANE, her successors and assigns forever.
		
		IN WITNESS WHEREOF we have hereunto set our hand in Garden City, Nassau County, N.Y., this twenty-ninth day of March, 1927.
