7th. I have hereunto given my former 560 acre farm known as the
"Newton Woods Yarm" tothe State Board of Agriculture of the State
of Michigan, an Incorporated Body ;and for the same purpose of
carrying on the Educational Program and Forestry work,!I give,devise,
and bequeath to said The State Board of Agriculture of the State of
Michican,an Incorporated Body,&11 those certain parcels of land
situate in the Township of Newberg,Gass County, Michigan, described
ac follows, to-wit:
The northwest quarter of the northwest quarter of Section 16 and the
southwest quarter of the southwest quarter of Section 16 and the
east half of the northeast quarter of section 17 and the
northwest quarter of the northeast quarter / oti 21 and any
and all other parcels of land situate in said township of Newberg
that I may hereafter acquire and a own at the time of my death,or
such ocpart or portions thereof that I ay own at the time of my
death. All in Township six South »Range 13 West.
All to named and known as the “Fred Russ Forest."

Also I give,devise and bequeath t) the State Board of Agriculture
of the State of Michigan Five B& Hundred shares of the conmwon

Company, to be used by it as hereinafter stated in carzying on
the educational program and forestry work;to have and hold the
same lands,premises and the said shares of common stook of the
Associates Investment Company for the #e purposes following;

It is my will that the said State Board of Agriculture of the
State of Michigan shall, eo far as advisable,hold,preserve and use said
lands,premises and personal property in connection with the Educational
Program and the Forestry Department of the Michigan State College,
formerly the Agriculture college,located at Tast Lansing, Michigan;
and it is my will that the said State Board of Agriculture of the
@aic State of Michigan shall have the right to handle,manage,control,
use,seli and dispose of said lands,prembses and personal property,
and execute, acknowledge and deliver any and 311 instruments necessary
therefor as the Corporation may determine from time to time.

In connection with the said bequest and devise,I deem it proper
to make the following statementd; I have spent much time and effort in
setting out and growing on a portion of said land and premises Tulip
Poplar Trees; and it is my hope and desire that the said Board of
Agrkculture of the State of Michigan will de em it proper to
preserve the said Tulip Poplar Trees in connection with the Forestry
Work of the said Michiga State College.

Also at the time of waking this Will, I intend to acquire other
lands in said Township of Newberg,Gass County, Michigan ,for the
purpose of further developing and crowing Tulip Poplar Trees,

Walnut and other Forest Trees, and in the event that I shoyld acquire

and own other lands in said Township of Newburg at the -ime of my death, ober

of Newburg,to said State Board of Agriculture of the State of Michigan
