1948 Packard touring sedan, parked on street in front of home with couple
8x10 black and white Packard Co. file photograph of a 1948 Packard left side view, parked on street in front of home, couple standing near house. Photo caption on back from Packard News Service: 1948 Packard, finest of Packard's three all new eights for 1948, the 160-horsepower custom eight is 'free flow' styled so that, despite its unusual length and width, the car appears to be lithe and hugging the ground, the custom eight touring sedan (shown here) has a 127-inch wheelbase, as do the club sedan and convertible in this line, the 7-passenger sedan and limousine are both on 148-ich wheelbases, but the unique bumper design reduces the overall length four inches, making possible easier parking and better maneuverability.
