Friends may cal from noon to 9 p.m. today and 9 to 11 a.m. Tues* day at the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, Flat Rock, where services will be held at 11 a.m. The Rev. Alan W. DeGraw of First United Methodist Church, Flat Rock, will officiate. Burial will be in Michi- gan Memorial Park, Flat Rock. Born Dec, 22, 1914 in Detroit, he was the son of Isreal J. Abar and Pearl (Shaw) Abar. He mar- ried Myrtle Bossom on Sept. 18, 1943 at the First United Methodist Church, Trenton. He was employed by Detroit Edison Co. at the Trenton Channel Plant for 30 years, retiring in 1 He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Flat Rock, Flat Rock city representa* tive for Wayne County Senior || Alliance for which he received an award in 1991, a past president of Flat Rock Senior Citizens, and served on the Flat Rock volunteer fire department for 42 years. He graduated from Flat Rock High School in 1935 where he played, varsity football. Surviving, in addition to His | wife, are-two sons, Robert J. and Charles, both of Flat Rock; and one daugher, Mrs. Darell (Nancy) Andersen of St. Joseph, Mich.; and five grandchildren.
