Anteau, 70, of Sturgis, a former Monroe resident and Korean conflict vet- eran, died at home Wednesday after a long illness. Friends may call from 5 to 8 tonight at the family’s home, 102 . Gateway Village. A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Fri- day in Holy Angels Catholic Church, with the Rev. Leon H. Pohl officiating. Cremation has taken place. Rosenberg-Schipper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Born Aug. 18, 1928, in Monroe, he was the son of Dennis H. and Lucille (LaPrad) Anteau. He married Margaret (Peg) David- son May 16, 1953, in Tecumseh. They moved to Sturgis in 1970, after living in Rockford, Il. He was a graduate of Monroe High School. He was former owner of Mayers Gift Shop. He was employed by Bucknell Hard- ware and worked for Essex Group in production control. In 1990, he retired from Grumman Olson, where he was in charge of production control. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Renee Anteau of Cold- water; a son, Dennis Anteau of LaGrange, Ind.; a sister, Jeanne Marie Anteau of Monroe; four grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents anda sister, Marie Lucille. Memorials may be made to Hospitality House of Kalamazoo.
