Armstrong FLAT ROCK — George Ben- jamin Armstrong, 44, of Lexing- ton, Mich., formerly of Flat Rock, died of cancer Thursday night at River District Hospital in Lexing- ton. He had been ill about a year. Visitation is from 2 to 9 p.m. today at the Pomrey Funeral Home in Lexington and from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. funeral services Monday at the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home Inc., Flat Rock Chapel. The Rev. Robert F. All- mann of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, New Boston, will offici- ate. Burial will be in Huron Val- ley Cemetery, Flat Rock. Born June 29, 1951, in Trenton, he was the son of George Lake and Evelyn (Bauerle) Armstrong. He married Angela Walker in Ajo, Ariz., on Nov. 24, 1986. He worked for 15 years for Detroit Edison Co. in St. Clair as an electrician in the maintenance department and had served in the Peace Corps in Kingston, Jamaica, from 1973 to 1975. He also served in the Navy from Dec. 17, 1969, to Sept. Find973, and was assigned to the USS Saratoga, stationed off Vietnam. He received the Vietnam Cam- paign Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Navy Unit Commen- dation and a Meritorius Unit Com- mendation. ~ ww nana ac mie - a
