Born April 2, 1937, in Dearborn, he was the son of Charles and | Gertrude (Markoff) Austin. He - married Ethel Baldridge on Aug.’ 5, 1960, in Lincoln Park. He was a Navy veteran, serving from 1954 to 1955 and was employed as a conductor for Con- rail for more than 40 years. He was a member of Country Twirlers square dancing club in Taylor as well as a member of the Monroe Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife; a son, William Jr. of Newport; a daughter, Connie Austin of New- port, and his father, Charles of Flat Rock. He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother, Theodore. Memorials may be made to the ‘Monroe Missionary ' Baptist Church Building Fund. : a
