Born Aug. 19, 1893, in Ash Township, he was the son of James J. and Belle (Strong) Barry. He and the former Ruth Baker were married Sept. 10, 1966, in the Evangelical United Brethren Church. ' Mr. Barry was employed'as a farmer on his own farm in Ash Township all his life and was a member of Hiram Lodge 110, Free and Accepted Masons, Flat Rock. © Surviving are his wife; two step- sons, Richard and Robert Baker, both of Carleton; two stepdaugh- ters, Marie Bitel of Carleton and Mrs. Reggie (Marilyn) DeBoard of Gibraltar; 17 grandchildren, and 38 great-grandchildren.
