Taree), Cpr 17, oo } Firmin A. Cousino Sept. 27, 1914-April 15, 2001 SOUTH ROCKWOOD - Firmin A. Cousino, 86, of South Rockwood died at 7:55 am. Sunday at Oakwood Hospital Seaway Center, Trenton, where he had been for. two days. He had suffered a lengthy illness. Friends may call from 5 to 9 today and from noon to 9 Wednesday at the Ford Chapel of Allore-Martenson Funeral Home, Rockwood, where the rosary will be prayed at 8 Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home and at 10 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Rockwood. The Rev. Thomas Sauter, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Born Sept. 27, 1914, in South Rockwood, he was the son of Firmin A. and Anna (Gonyea) Cousino. He married June McNabb June 18, 1938, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Rockwood. She died in July, 1997. For more than 35 years, he worked for Monsanto Chemical Co., Trenton, as a chemical opera- tor, retiring in 1979. He also worked part-time as a carpenter for Chinavar Builders of Rockwood. A 1932 graduate of South Rockwood High School, he was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Rockwood and enjoyed — gardening and roses. Surviving are four sons, Richard (Shelia) of South Rockwood, Joe of Gibraltar, Thomas (Lorie) of Kalamazoo and Robert of Okasaki, Japan; 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Masserant, in 1994. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
