(Jake) Cousino, 61, of Newport, a for- mer volunteer firefighter, died at 12:52 a.m. Sunday at Mercy Memorial Hospital. He had been seriously ill for three weeks. Friends may call from 6 to 9 tonight and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m) Tuesday at Rupp Funeral Home, where Scripture will be read at 6 p.m. Tuesday by Sister Pamela Nosbusch. Ser- vices. will ..be held at 10:15 a.m. JEROME D. Wednesday at COUSINO the funeral home, followed by 11 a.m. services at St. Charles Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery. Born May 19, 1937, in Newport, he was the son of Leo and Mable (Reaume) Cousino. On Nov. 9, 1957, he married Elizabeth A. Jay at St. Michael Catholic Church. She died March 6, 1990. He was self-employed as a | farmer and retired from the Newport Volunteer Fire Depart- ment. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church and its Dad’s Club, Brest Bay Gun Club and Rockwood Lodge 1157, Loyal Order of Moose. Surviving are four sons, Jerome L., Robert J., Michael J. and Anthony W., all of Newport; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Ann M.) Nordyke of Newport; a sister, Mrs. Donald (Mary Ann) Meyer | of Carleton, and 10 grandchil- dren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be made toa charity of the donor’s choice.
