The only son of John: and Loretta
Jane: Berry, he came.to. Carleton
when he. was’ three. He -practiced
veterinary medicine in the ‘vicinity
and was a former member of the
Ash Center School Board, District
4.

 

He married Jennie Erving Mar.
18, 1891, the ceremony being per-
formed by the Rev. L. N. Moon
of the Flat Rock Methodist Churca
in the Erving home in Flat Rock.

Surviving are his wife; a son,
Benjamin A..of Flat Rock two
daughters, Mrs, Ora Hood of. Carle-
ton and Mrs. Bennie Williams of
Jackson; four. grandchildren and
five great- grandchildren. .
