16A DEATHS Hazel G. Blanchett NEWPORT — Mrs. Hazel G. (Mim) Blanchett, 94, of Newport ° died at 3:48 this morning in Mercy Memorial Hospital, Monroe; — where she had been for a day. Friends may call from 1 to 9. p.m. Tuesday and from noon to 9 p-m. Wednesday at the Allore Funeral Home, Monroe. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the funeral home. Services will be held at 10:15 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home and at 11 at St. Charles Catholic Church, New- port. Her son, the Rev. Melvin C. Blanchette, S.S., of Baltimore, Md., will officiate. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Newport. Born March 18, 1899, in Rock- wood, she was the daughter of — James and Olive (Allore) Bondy. She was married May 23, 1923, to Ernest N. Blanchett in St. Mary Catholic Church, Rockwood. Hi died Aug. 11, 1982. : She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church and its Altar Society. In addition to her son, she is sur- vived by two other sons, Thomas E. Blanchett and Norman J. Blanchett, both of Newport; two daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Joyce) Beaudrie of Rockwood and Mrs. Cari (Joan) Brooks of Newport; 16 grandchildren, and 29 great- grandchildren. She also was preceded in death © by a son, James; a daughter, Phyl- lis Blanchett; five brothers, Levi, Fred, Edward, Russell and Ben-: jamin; and three sisters, Stella. Beaudrie, Mary Egan and Bertha Venier. Memorials may be made to the St. Charles Catholic Church build- ing fund or the St. Mary Catholic Church, Rockwood, restoration fund.
