Blohm FLAT ROCK — Services have been set for Erwin August Blohm, 92. of Flat Rock, who died at 1:35 a.m. Friday at Rivergate Terrace, Riverview, where he had been for four days. He had been seriously ill for two weeks. Friends may call from 2 to 9 tonight and from 2 to 9 p.m. Sun- day at the Arthur Bobcean Funer- al Home. He will lie in state Mon- day at Faith Lutheran Church, Flat Rock, from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. The Rev. John Negele, pastor of Faith Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock. Born Feb. 21, 1904, in Cux- haven, Germany, he was the son of Wilheim and Wilhelmina (Meier) Blohm. He married.Elsie Ouednau in Germany in May, 1924. They came to Flat Rock in 1925. She preceded him in death Aug. 10, 1977. Mr. Blohm was a self-employed mason contractor. He was a mem- ber of Faith Lutheran Church; the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Flat Rock Lodge 1731; lifetime member of the Wyandotte Lodge 263, Independent Order of Oddfellows ; Downriver Germa- nia Club; Bricklayers union; and Sarasota German-American Club of Florida. He is survived by two sons, Her- bert of Romulus and Willie of Flat Rock; 11 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Droge and Bertha Lamberta; a brother, Gustave Holst; a son, Herman, and a granddaughter.
