Clarence Herman (Punch) Otter Oct. 16, 1916-April 5, 2003 HURON TOWNSHIP -— Clarence Herman (Punch) Otter, 86, of Huron Township died Saturday. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, Flat Rock. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Lutheran Church, Waltz. Dr. Dennis M. Berkesch, pastor of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Dearborn, and the Rev. D. Lee Cullen Jr, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church, New Boston, will officiate. Burial will be in Michigan Memorial Park, where grave- side services will be conducted by members of Carleton Post 4098, Veterans of Foreign Wars. Born Oct. 16, 1916, in Huron Township, he was the son of Henry and Wilhelmina (Rinne) Otter. He married Louise W. Neumann May 4, 1946, at St. John Lutheran Church of Waltz. Mr. Otter was a lifelong farmer. For six years, before enlisting in the Army, he worked for Ford Motor Co. © He served in the Army for 4 ¥, years during World War Il, seeing action in the Pacific the- ater of operations. A life member of Carleton Post 4093, VF'W, he also was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and American Stabilization Conservation Service. Surviving are his wife; three sons, Alan C., Brian L. and Kevin W, all of New Boston; two daughters, Karen L. Otter- Bender and Joan C. Otter, both of New Boston; two sisters, Dorothy Lyons and Delphine Hamilton, both of New Boston; 10 grandchildren, and a great- grandchild. He was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters. Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church.
