A DEATHS Harold K. Crooks FLAT: ROCK — Harold K. Crooks, 86, of Flat Rock, former owner and operator of Crooks’ service station in Flat Rock, died Sunday night in Wyandotte General Hospital, Wyandotte. Friends may call in the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home Inc. where Hiram Lodge 110, Free and Ac- cepted Masons, will conduct a memorial service at 7:30 tonight. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Shinn of St. | Thomas Episcopal Church, | Trenton, officiating. Burial will be — in Huron Valley Cemetery. Born Dec. 28, 1900, in Flat Rock, | he was the son of Arthur and Mina } (Bryant) Crooks. He married | Edna Frank on June 9, 1925, in St. > Thomas Church, Trenton. She died Dec: 9, 1983." pe He had owned the gas and service station for about 20 years, retiring in 1966. He was the oldest member of Hiram: Lodge 110, F and AM, which he served as_ worshipful master in 1943. He also was a member of the Shrine and Con- sistory of Detroit; Flat Rock Lodge 403, IOOF; Flat Rock Chapter 156, Order of the Eastern Star, of which he was patron, and the Flat Rock Senior Citizens. Surviving are a son, Marvin of © Trenton; two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Shirley) Hoffee of Flat Rock and Mrs. Donald (Charlotte) Goocher. of Riverview; a sister, Pearl Simpson of Trenton, and four grandchildren.
