Crooks, 90, of Pinckney, who owned Crooks Super Service Station in Flat Rock and was active in the community, died Saturday in Fairfax Manor. Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday in the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, Flat Rock Chapel, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Evans C. Bentley of First United Methodist Church, Flat Rock, will officiate. Burial will be in Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock. Born Sept. 9, 1909, in Maple Grove, he was the son of John and Catherine (Mclvor) Crooks. He married Marion L. Lindsay Dec. 9, 1931, in Lucas County, Ohio. She died Sept. 2. A former Flat rock resident, he was a charter and life member of the First United Methodist Church. He also was a Flat Rock village — president and a board member of the Peoples Community Hos- | pital Authority, He served on the boards of . directors of Flat Rock Savings Bank and Peoples Bank. He also was a member of Flat Rock Lodge 1731, Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks, and a life member of the Washtenaw oe Order of the Easter tar. He was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fel- lows of Michigan.
