MRS. JOHN CROOKS
Funeral services were held

     

“Crooks, 89, of "25603" East
Huron River Drive, Flat
Rock, who died July 4 at the
Marion® Manor Nursing Home
in Riverview.

Her husband preceded her
in death. When the: couple
moved to Flat Rock they
settled on the Crooks farm
where the Detroit-Ironton
and Toledo Railroad now
stand.

Mrs. Crooks is survived by
four sons, John of Portage
Lake, Everett of Flint,
Donald of Estral Beach and
Kenneth of Flat Rock; one
daughter, Mrs. Karl Smith of
Flat Rock; one sister, Mrs.

Margaret Hart of Detroit; six
grandchildren and seven great
grandchildren.

Mrs. Crooks listed
membership in the First
United Methodist Church of
Flat Rock, the Women’s
Society of Christian Service,
she is a past noble grand of
the Flat Rock chapter of
Rebekah Lodge 401, Chapter
156, Order of the Eastern
Star and Flat Rock Grange,’
vais’ Speake AH
Mrastement wee Ridge”
Cemetery, Flat Rock,
followed the services which
The Rev. Floyd Braun
officiated. Pallbearers were
David Smith, Ronald Smith,
Harold Haffee, Alvin Van
Riper, Harold Hinzmann and
Harold Crooks.
