She married Oskar Scheffel on Dec. 7, 1921, in Leipzig. He died Oct. 26, 1969. She then married Cyriel DeBacker on May 6, 1972, in Waltz. He die April 23, 1985. : She was a homemaker and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Waltz, and the Monroe Senior Citizens. She came to the United States on Dec. 7, 1924, and became a U.S. citizen in 1932. Surviving are three daughters, Marianne L. MacDonald of Mon- roe, Dolores H. Stahlke of Auro- ra, Colo., and Mrs. Werner (Katie) Cyriax of Port Townsend, Wash.; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grand- children, and three great-great- grandchildren. In addition to her two husbands, she was preceie in death by a son, Wolfgang Scheffel, and two brothers. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
