Diekman, 77, of South Rock- wood, died at 4:45 a.m. Saturday in the Frenchtown Convalescent Center, where he had been a pa- tient for three weeks. He had been in poor health for three years. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today and from noon to 9 p.m. Monday in the Arthur Bob- cean Funcral Home Inc., Flat Rock, where services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Wesley Grocker of First Congregational Church in Rockwood will offici- ate. Burial will be in Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock. Born Scpt. 21, 1914, in Flat Rock, he was the son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Blum) Diekman. He married Violet M. Marks on Dec. 15, 1934, in Flat Rock. The couple lived in Flat Rock for most of their lives. \ Mr. Dickman was a supervisor at Ford Motor Co.’s Monroe Stamping Plant for 41 years, retir- ing in 1972. Surviving are his wife; a:son, Henry Dickman of Monroe; three daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Beverly) Bondy of South Rockwood, Mrs. Joseph (Sharon) Buchko of Tren- ton and Mrs. William (Tony) ‘Anderson of Daytona Beach, Fla.; a sister, Maric Burgess of South Rockwood; 20 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Herman, Anthony, Hen- ry, Joseph, Ben and Arthur Diek- man and two sisters, Minnie Gould and Elizabeth Granger. Memorials may be made to the Michigan Cancer Foundation.
