Born Aug. 1, 1927, in Detroi she was the daughter of Theodore and Gladys (Cutler) Keilman, She married Robert J. Doty on Sept, 8, 1945, in the South Rockwood Evangelical United Brethren Church by the Rev. John Sherman, The couple celebrated their’SOth wedding anniversary in 1995. *< She worked at F.W. Ritter Ele- mentary School in South Rock- wood for 25 years, retiring in 1989. She served as deputy trea. surer and clerk for the Village of South Rockwood for 43 years. During much of that time, she assisted her husband, who was vil- lage treasurer for 22 years and clerk for nine years. She was active in the South Rockwood United Methodist Church and served as its financial secretary for many years. She was a member of the Rockwood Area Historical Society and Frenchtown Senior Citizens. She was an avid seamstress and enjoyed all types of handiwork. She formerly bowled in two leagues and enjoyed gardening and canning. in addition to her husband of South Rockwood, she is survived by one son, Daniel of Trimble, Mo.; three daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Marsha) Metz and Mrs. Dennis (Diane) Batway, both of Monroe, and Gloria Harvell of South Rock- wood: two brothers, Irvin and John Keilman, both of Bonita Springs, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Dale (Janice) Losee of Milan and Mrs. Howard (Shirley) Harvell of Casper, Wyo.; 10 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Russell, Ed and Delbert, and three sisters, Mari- lyn Stiffer, Joanne Gabel and an infant sister: Memorials may be made to the South Rockwood United Meth- odist Church or the Rockwood Area Historical Society.
