es) hey a, [994s John Draftz FLAT ROCK — Services have been set for John Walter Alfred Draftz, 82, of Flat Rock, who died at 2:05 p.m. Sunday at the Bal- moral Skilled Nursing Home, Trenton, where he had been for six weeks. He had been in poor health for five years. Friends may call from 12:30 to9 p.m. Wednesday at the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, where services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Dennis Berkesch of St. John Lutheran Church, Waltz, will officiate. Bur- iat a be in Michigan Memorial ark. ‘ Born Feb. 23, 1913, in Huron Township, he was the son of John - L. and Selma (Heier) Draftz. He was married May 18, 1940, to Laura Felt at St. John Lutheran Church in Waltz. They had made ae home in Flat Rock since then. Mr. Draftz was the owner and operator of Heier Concrete Block in Flat Rock from 1946 until his retirement in 1970. Prior to that, he was employed by Die Craft of Wayne. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Waltz. Surviving are his wife; two sons, John Z. of Phoenix, Ariz., and Melvin of New York City; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Nadine) _ of Novi, and five grandchil- en. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin and Ervin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John Luther- an Church in Waltz or its tape ministry.
