Karl Droge Jan. 23, 1925-Oct. 19, 1998 BROWNSTOWN — Karl Droge, 73, of Brownstown, for- merly of Flat Rock, died Mon- day. Friends may call from 1 to 9 tonight in the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, Flat Rock, where Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. John Negele, pastor of Faith Evangel- ical Lutheran Church, Flat Rock, will officiate. Burial will be in Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock. Born Jan. 23, 1925, in Cux- haven, Germany, he was the son of Karl and Erna Betty (Blohm) Droge. He married Kate Werner Jan. 26, 1946, in Cuxhaven, Ger- many. He wasa self-employed boat builder, retiring in 1996. A resident of Flat Rock for 45 years, he was a member of the Germania Club. He also played the accordion and made carved plaques, Surviving are his wife; a son, Fred of Palm Bay, Fla.; two daughters, Barbara Wenzel of South Rockwood and Erika Hughes of Carleton; a brother, Erwin of Rockwood; a sister, Inge Wackernagel of North Car- - Olina, and six grandchildren.
