‘aths : LY Lact 472002 Emmons (Rich) Duvall Jr. Oct. 22, 1968 — April 26, 2002 Emmons (Richard) Duvall Jr, 33, of Monroe died Friday after being struck by a car on L-75 in Monroe Township, Friends may call from 5 to 9 tonight and : from noon to 3 P.m. and 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Allore Funeral Home. He will lie in state from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Mon- day at Stewart a d, where (RICH) DUVALL Services will j : be held at 11 a.m. The Rey. Rex Jones Jr, pastor of Bethany Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroe. Born Oct. 22, 1968 in Monroe he was the son of Rick and Kathy Duvall. He taught sixth, seventh and eighth grade computer science for the past eight years at Simpson Thomas Intermediate School, Flat Rock, where he also coached football, basketball, volleyball and track. He also was the yearbook advisor, the Junior Honor Society advisor, student council advisor and he ran the school store. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1986 andearned . a bachelor of education degree in 1990 from The University of Toledo. He received his master’s in education from Marygrove College. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, the Detroit Beach Boat Club and Bethany Baptist Church. Healso was recently appointed Supervisor of the Frenchtown Township Recreational Depart- ment. He is survived by his parents, a brother, Ryan (Amy) of Monroe and a grandfather, Emmons Duvall Jr of Newport.
