burt, Vina 27 eee Earl igs a Nov, 7, 1921-June 25, 1999 FLAT ROCK — Earl Raymond Ernest, 77, of Flat Rock, a fur- nace operator at a steel plant for three decades, died Friday in Oakwood Hospital’s Seaway Center, Trenton. Friends may call from noon to . 9 tonight at the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home Inc., Flat Rock, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. David W. Jones of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Carleton, will officiate. Burial will be in Michi- gan Memorial Park, Flat Rock. Born Nov, 7, 1921, in Flat Rock, he was the son of John and Augusta (Metzger) Ernest. He married Wilma Cannon in 1944, She died in October, 1983. He worked as an open hearth furnace operator for Great Lakes Steel for 30 years, retir- ing in 1972. He served in the Army during World War II. Surviving are two sons, Neil R. and Timothy, both of Flat Rock; a daughter, Sharon Gonyea of Monroe; two brothers, Louis of : Flat Rock and Charles of East Rockwood; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
