Clarence A. Farmer BIG RAPIDS, Mich, — Clar- ence A. Farmer, 76, a former Flat Rock resident who lived in Hill- man, Mich., died here of natural Causes at 1:05 p.m. Thursday. Visitation will be after 2:30 pa today. Services will be at :30 p.m, Monday at the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home Inc. in Flat. Rock. The Rev. Leland E, Booker of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Flat Rock, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, South Rockwood. » Born Aug. 31,1915, in Whitville, Ky., he was the son of Amlis and Mary Pollyann (Tan- ner) Farmer, ' et Inay 2, Mga He married Bertha Oestrike on Sept. 3, 1938, in Detroit and the couple lived in Flat Rock from then until 1980, when Mr. Farmer retired from the maintenance de- Partment at Greenfield Village where he worked for 36 years. He was a member of the Atlanta Congregational Church, its choir and the Hillman Senior Citizens. Surviving are his wife: three sons, Robert and Richard of Carle- ton and Roy of LaSalle; a daugh- ter, Mrs. LaVern (Barbara) Faid- ley of Rome, Italy; and 13 grand- children. He was preceded in death by a sister. Memorials may be made to the Atlanta Congregational Church.
