DEATHS Richard V. Frank CARLETON — Richard V. Frank, 74, of Carleton, who worked 39 years for the Detroit Edison Co. at its Trenton Channel Plant, died of natural causes Satur- day night near Tawas City, where he was vacationing. He had been ill for several days. Friends may call from 12:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, Carleton Chapel, where services will be at ‘11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. William Morris, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church, Waltz, will offi- | ciate and burial will be at Michi- | gan Memorial Park, Flat Rock. Born March 2, 1923, in Wyan- dotte, he was the son of Richard E. and Lillian G. (Porath) Frank. He married Mary P. Elliott on April | 19, 1947, at St. John’s Church. He retired as an operator at the Trenton plant in 1986. He served in the U.S. Army as a technician- third grade from Jan. 26, 1943, to Feb. 24, 1946. He wasa member | of Carleton Post 4093, Veterans | of Foreign Wars, and was an avid | hunter and fisherman and enjoyed | watching spectator sports. He | graduated from South Rockwood | High School in 1941. In addition to his wife, he is sur- vived by three sons, John and Jerry, both of Carleton, and ~ Michael of Howell; three daugh- ters, Sherry Sutherland of Car- leton, Marsha Frank of Lam- . bertville and Sandra Fairchild of Fenton, and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by six brothers — Lawrence, Earl, Roy, Harvey, Gene and Glenn.
