eS, Fog, 30,1997 Evelyn Gaertner DUNDEE — Evelyn Gaertner, 82, of Dundee died at 11:45 a.m. Thursday in the emergency room at Mercy Memor- ial Hospital. She { had been ill since | July 27 and entered the hos- pital Aug. 22. Friends may | call from 2 to 9 & p-m. Saturday § and 4 to 9 p.m. pee in oor : apaul Funera Home, Ida. She GAERTNER will lie in state from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Monday in East Ida Immanuel Church. The Rev. Bruce Lucas, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in the church’s cemetery. Born Jan. 2, 1915, in Monroe she was the daughter of Godfrey and Emelia (Ruettinger) Lutz. She married Alvin Gaertner, who pre- ceded her in death on April 9, 1987. Mrs. Gaertner was a member of East Ida Immanuel Church where she was active in the Ladies Aide and sewing and quilting group. In addition, she was the Mon- roe Farmers Market secretary and treasurer for more than 30 years. She sold produce at the market for about 65 years and flowers since her husband died. Her fami- ly was involved with the market . since its inception. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Sharon Watt of Woodland, Wash., and Mrs. Joseph (Linda) Kanamueller of Kalamazoo. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her par- ents, a brother, Edgar Lutz and a sister, Marie Woelmer. Memorials may be made to East Ida Immanuel Lutheran Church.
