Albert (Buster) Garrett Feb, 6, 1926-Jan. 9, 1999 Services have been set for Albert (Buster) Garrett, 72, of Monroe, who died at 1 p.m. Sat- urday in St. Vincent Mercy Med- ical Center, Toledo. He had been in poor health for a year. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Rupp Funeral Home, where ser- vices will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Dr. Joseph Byrd, pas- tor of Stewart § Road Church of God, will offici- ate. Burial will be in Roselawn & Memorial Park, ALBERT LaSalle, under GARRETT the auspices of Monroe Post 1138, Veterans of Foreign Wars. Born Feb. 6, 1926, in Monroe, he was the son of Jesse and Rose (LaBeau) Garrett. He married Barbara A. Beaubien Aug. 10, 1949, in Toledo. He was employed for 32 years by Woodall Industries until the plant closed. He then worked for 10 years in the maintance depart- ment at J.C. Penney. From 1981- 94, he was employed by Hop-In. He served in the Navy during World War II from May, 1944, until May, 1946. He was a life member of Mon- roe Post 1138, VFW. A member of « Ducks Unlimited, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Annette A. Garrett of Florida, Alice M. Garrett of Monroe and Mrs. D. Scott (Bar- bie A.) Pace of Lambertville; nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Howard L. in 1979 and Robert J. in 1996, and two broth- ers, Howard and Jesse.
