Aok. Mack a6 1994 Harley R. Gilstorf CARLETON — Harley R. Gilstorf, 71, of Carleton died at 8:02 a.m. Thursday in Mercy Memorial Hospital, Monroe. He had been a resident of the French- town Nursing Care Center, Mon- roe, since January and seriously ill for six months. Friends may call from 12:30 to 9 p.m. today and from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, Flat Rock. He will lie in state Monday at. St. John Lutheran Church, Waltz, from noon until | services atl p.m. & The Rev. HARLEY William Morris -GILSTORF will officiate. Burial will be in Michigan Memo- rial Park, Flat Rock. Born Sept. 29, 1922, in Cheboy- gan, he was the son of Charles and Clara (Newhouse) Gilstorf. He was married April 21, 1942, to Dorothy H. McCoy in Flat Rock. She died on Dec. 24, 1988. Mr. Gilstorf had been employed as a pipefitter at the Mobil Oil Co. of Woodhaven until retiring in 1986. A Navy Seabee veteran of World War II, he was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. He had served as scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 550 at the church and had been involved in Scouting for 35 years. Surviving are a son, Richard W. of Trenton; two daughters, Ms. Carol Y. Owens of Monroe and Ms. Linda L. Gilstorf of Carleton; a sister, Mrs. Louis (Mae) Pinter of Trenton; a brother, Raymond . of Trenton, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by a brother, Walter. Memorials may be made to the National Heart Association.
