Mend ORE a Helen 4inmond 7 hs FLAT ROCK — Services have been set for Helen Hammond, 77, of Flat Rock, who died Saturday night at Seaway Hospital, Trenton. She had been in poor health for several months. ’ Friends may call until 9 tonight at the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. David Davis of St. Paul’s Luther- an Church, Trenton, will officiate. Burial will be in Michigan Memo- rial Park. ome : Born Sept. 30, 1920, in Donora, Pa., she was the daughter of Las- zlo and Martha (Molnar) Matyi. She was married on May 13, 1939, to Charles R. Hammond in Napoleon, Ohio. He died Nov. 9, 1996. She was a 1938 graduate of Flat Rock High School..A homemak- er, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Flat Rock | Volunteer Fire Department Auxil- lary. Surviving are two sons, Charles R. IL and Mark, both of Flat Rock; a daughter, Laura Hammond of Oscoda; a brother, James Matyi of California; a sister, Margaret Cartmill of Monroe, and eight grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a brother, Nickolas Matyi, and a sister, Elizabeth Hovarth.
