The son of John W. and Alice
{Strong) Harris, he was born Feb.
23, 1876, at South Rockwood. He
attended public schools here and/
Adrian College at Adrian. He mar-
ried Bertha Milliman July 29, 1905, |
at Adrian, and she died Jan.: 3,
1939. For seyeral years he worked |
at Strong's Grocery and was part-
ner and manager of the store from
1932 to 1948. His partner was his|
cousin, Thomas Edwards. —
He is survived by a brother-in-|
law, Clare Milliman, and the two
lived together in the home on S.]|
Huron River Dr.; a sister-in-law, |.
Mrs. George Harris of ‘Detroit, and!
nephews and nieces. Among cous-|
ins surviving is Mrs. Josephine]
(Strong) Elliott of Knoxville, Tenn. |
