William Heiss, 85, of Carleton
died Wednesday in the French-
town Nursing Center, Monroe.

p.m. Friday in Arthur Bobcean
Funeral Home, Flat Rock. Ser-
vices will be held at 11 a.m. Sat-
urday in Garleton United
Methodist Church. The Rev. Car-
man J. Minarik and the Rev.
Donna J. Minarik will officiate.
Burial will be in Michigan
Memorial Park, Flat Rock.

Born March 5, 1918, in Flat
Rock, he was the son of Martin
and Margaret (Hoffman) Heiss:
He married Eileen Stumpmier
June 22, 1940, in Zion Lutheran
Church, Monroe. i

He was employed by Ford
Motor Co. until retiring in 1980:
He also was a farmer.

A lifelong area resident, he was
a member of Carleton United
Methodist Church. :

Surviving are his wife; a son,,
William of Manistee; a daugh-
ter, Mrs. Terry (Diane) Bray GE: -
Flat Rock; two grandchildren,
