4 2 ee ee Monroe Ev Jack T. Henager FLAT ROCK — Jack Thomas Henager, 62, of Flat Rock, a retired Flat Rock Community Schools administrator, died of nat- ural causes Wednesday morning in his home. Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home. He will lie in state from 11 a.m. until services at noon Sunday in First United Methodist Church. Rev. Alan W. DeGraw of First United Methodist Church will officiate. He will be cremated and burial will be in Huron Valley Cemetery. Born Oct. 11, 1930, in Arthur, Ind., he was the son of Franklin and Austa (Erwin) Henager. He was married to Betty Monske, who died Nov. 5, 1990. He mar- ried N. Anne Hart on March 27 in First United Methodist Church. Mr. Henager began his career at Flat Rock in 1956 as a junior high and high school music teacher. In 1969, he became assistant princi- pal at the junior high school and was principal from 1970 until retiring in May, 1984. He served in the Navy as a musi- cian on board the USS Midway during the Korean War. He was a member of First Unit- ed Methodist Church, the National Rifleman’s Association and the Michigan Public School Employ- ees Retirement System. In addition to his wife, he is sur- vived by ason, Thomas of New- port; a daughter, Mrs. Jacob (Melissa) Craanen of South Rock- wood; two stepsons, Jon Twitchell of Oregon and Lee Hart of Vir- ginia; a brother, Paul, of Illinois; a sister, Aline Wilson of Indiana, and eight grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
