SAT, JUVE Z,2002 ida M. Henkel Dec. 23, 1917-June 6, 2002 BROWNSTOWN TOWN- SHIP — Ida Mary Henkel, 84, of Brownstown Township, died Thursday at her home. Friends may call from 12:30 to 7 tonight at the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, Flat Rock, where services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. John Negele, pastor of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Brownstown Township, will officiate and burial will be in Michigan Memorial Park, Huron Township. Born Dec. 23, 1917, in Detroit, she was the daughter of August and Kassandra (Lund) Unser. She married Charles Henkel March 8, 1941, in Detroit. The couple observed their 60th wedding anniver- sary in 2001. She was employed in nurs- ing and also was a homemaker. She was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, its altar guild, women’s group and choir. She also was amem- ber of the garden clubs in Flat Rock and Wyandotte. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Richard of Bellevue, Wash., and Jonathan of Pelkie; three daughters, Lois (Dennis) Swan of Woodhaven, Helen DeLawrence of Garden City and Mary Henkel of Lakewood, Colo.; a brother, Karl Unser of Dearborn; a sis- ter, Alice Moss of Bellaire; 13 grandchildren, and five great- grandchildren.
