Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Carleton Chapel of the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with the Rev. William Mor- ris of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Waltz, officiating. Burial will be in . Michigan Memorial Park, Flat | Rock. Born Dec. 23, 1904, in Ash. Township, he was the son of A. Frederick and Amanda (Dam- aschke) Hoerl. He was married on June 11, 1955, to Mary Chinavare. She died Jan. 26, 1970. During his career, Mr. Hoerl had been employed as a public school | teacher, an accountant for the | sales tax department of the State of Michigan, and at Kahlbaums’ Feed Mill, Carleton, and Ford Motor Co., Monroe. An Army veteran of World War © II, he served from April, 1942, to December, 1945, and was award- ed two bronze stars. . He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and Carleton Post 4093, Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is survived by many relatives in the Carleton area. He was preceded in death by his wife, two brothers, Walter and Edward, and a sister, Winifred. Memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church.
