Clifford G. Hoffman, 91, of
Monroe, the oldest member of
Monroe First Downers, died at 3:05
this morning at Mercy Memorial
Hospital. He had been ill for a year.

was the son of Bernard and
Harriett (Meyer) Hoffman. He mar- .
ried Mildred E. McIntosh June 6,
1936, at the former Evangelical |
United Brethren Church, now |
, First United Methodist. She died
- Oct. 1, 1980. |

He was employed by the former
Elliott’s Appliance Service Center
until retiring in 1969.

He was a member of Greater |
Monroe Bowling Association, First |
United Methodist Church and
Monroe Lodge 1503, Benevolent
and Protective Order of Elks.

Surviving are two daughters, ©
Sandra L. Spangler and Janice L. |
Adams, both of Monroe; a brother, |
Carl of Las Vegas; a sister, Helen |
Oberleiter of Monroe; five grand- |
children, and 15 great: ee dich |
dren.

‘In addition to his wife, he was .
preceded in death by a sister,
Margaret Sheppler.
