*ning News, Thurs., June 19, 1997 Nicholas Jabe Services have been set for Nicholas Jabe, 81, of Flat Rock, who died at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday in his home. He had been ill for five months. Friends may call from 6 to 9 tonight and noon to 9 p.m. Friday with a rosary service at 7 p.m. in the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, Flat Rock. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home followed by Mass at.10.a.m. in St. Rochs Catholic Church, Flat Rock.,The Rey. Fred- erick Misiolek, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be at Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock. Born Oct. 4, 1915, in St. Louis, Mo., he was the son of John and Anne (Perin) Jabe. He married June Laura on May 29, 1941, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Rock- | wood. They had lived in Flat Rock for 51 years. He was employed as bank man- ager for Peoples Bank in Flat Rock, a general manager for Hall- away Construction, and he was employed in Wixom for 28 years. He was a member of St. Rochs Catholic Church and served onthe | Parish Council, was the manager of Nick Jabe’s Orchestra in the 1940s and was president of the village of Flat Rock in 1956. Surviving are his wife; three sons, Kenneth of Flat Rock, Ron of Woodhaven, and Nick of Chesterfield; four daughters, Ms. Carol Flachsmann of Wyandotte, Mrs. Richard (Anna) Vaughn of Woodhaven, Mrs. David (Diane) Vergari of Plymouth, and Mrs. Ron (Nancy) Csekei-Leszczynski of Trenton; a brother, John Jabe of Virginia; two sisters, Vera | Peterson of South Rockwood and Eleanor Scheffler of Trenton; 14 grandchildren, and one great- grandchild. . He was preceded in death by a daughter, Joan Jabe. Memorials may be made to St. Rochs’ building fund.
