Davis, at 5 A. M. Satuiday, pal ITINEL, FLAT BOOM, EER. ‘y12th. Her health has not been good for some time and even though her death seemed appar-~ ent at any time still, the commun; ity at large were surprised as‘ the news was spread. She had been confined to her home for’ many years but even in her de-' clining years we always found } her busy doing such useful things | as she was able to do. In late : years she pieced several, quilts i and. also knit lace for a pair of | villow cases flor carh of her five!’ granddaughters ant! at the time’ of her death was working on lace for her great grand laughter. Wei. have watched her knitting and she did it with great ease a perfection and seemed to derive ,{enioyment from the work also. | | Edna Johnson (nee Hulburt) | was born in Van Buren: township | ovember 18, 1839 >nd died April: 2, 1926, aged 86 years, 6 months nd 14 days. On March 15th, ' ( 868 she was married to Frank- ‘Hin Johnson. To them was born one child, a daughter, Mrs. B. oy Davis, Sr., whom she Jeaves jto mourn ‘her loss, also one son- Nindaw. Mr. B. P. Davis and 5 eranddaughters, who are Mrs. ‘}Della Stoflet, Flat Rock, Mrs. »|Ada Russell, Detroit, Mrs. Wlva »|Mackie, Ilat. Rock, Mrs. Marjory x Nowland, Detroit, Mrs. Temma_ 4. | Davis, Detroit, also Mis. Martha '|Davis, wife of her only grandson, ' /B. F. Davis., Jr, who passed a- way one year ago. M, con- , ducted by Mr. Rex Finley. The service was in charge of Rev.' ‘Emerald Dixon, pastor of M. Ei, } Church, who spoke very comfort-- ng words to the family and friends. Two beautiful vocal. duets were rendered by Mrs. . Ora Hood of Carleton and Miss Bessie Berry of Flat Rock. The pall bearers were four of her grandsons-in-law, Mr. Grover . Stoflet, Mr. David Russell, Mr. ‘ Nonman. Mackie, Mr. Harry ‘Ar m- ! strong, also Mr. George Evans and Mr. C. J. Schaller. She was laid to rest beside her husband who died 40 years ago. . Burial! in Mallett Cemetery. She was a patient sufferer, a devoted mother aind grandmother
