e Evening News, Sat., May 4, 1996 Dewain W. Jones LAKELAND, Fla. — Dewain W. Jones, 77, of Lakeland, Fla., formerly of Flat Rock, died Thurs- day in Lakeland. He had been ill for the past year. Friends may call from 12:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, Flat Rock, where funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Evans Bentley of First United Methodist Church in Flat Rock will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, Blissfield. Born Jan. 3, 1919, in Blissfield, he was the son of Dewain R. and Clara (Green) Jones. He married Anne Kasno on April 20, 1941, at the First. United Methodist Church, Flat Rock. The couple moved to Lakeland in 1986. He had been employed for 31 years as an air tool repairman by Fisher Body in Detroit, and later for five years worked at Disney World in Orlando, Fla. He was a Navy veteran serving from May 11, 1944, to Feb. 10, 1946. He was a member of the Exper- imental Aircraft Association in Oshkosh, Wis., and the Aircraft Museum in Lakeland. Surviving, in addition to his wife Anne, are a son, Dewain of Snover, Mich.; five daughters, Robin: Schneider and Rebecca Jones of Lakeland, Penny Onesky of Orlando, Pamela Simon of Grand Blanc, and Jennifer Maxwell of Louchman, Fla.; three brothers, Harold and Bernard of Carleton and David of -New Boston; four sisters, Mrs. William (Dolores) Wallace of Flat Rock, Mrs. Fred (Lorraine) Ruttkofsky of Tecumseh, Mrs. Russell (Patri- cia) Radeke of Tremonton, Utah, and Mrs. Gordon (Lona) Arm- strong of Trenton; 14 grandchil- dren, and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Vivian and Jacquelyn.
