> Evening News, Sat., Feb. 4, 1995 Ella M. Knight Mrs. Ella M. (Jackie) Knight, 61, of Flat Rock died of an embolism at 2:37 p.m. Thursday in Seaway Hospital, Trenton. Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday in the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home Inc., Flat Rock. She will lie in state from 11 am. Monday until services at noon that day in the Com- munity Lutheran Church, Flat Rock. The Rev. David Gohn of Community Lutheran Church will officiate. Entombment will be in Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock. Born April 29, 1933, in Wyan- dotte, she was the daughter of Charles H. and Esther Z. (Drake) Jackson. She married Mark W. Knight on Nov. 11, 1951, in Wyandotte. Mrs. Knight was a 1951 gradu- ate of Slocum-Truax High School in Trenton. She started her career before graduation and worked as a bookkeeper for retail businesses in the Downriver area for 30 years. She retired in 1980. She was a charter member of Community Lutheran Church, having joined in 1979. She served as the church’s bookkeeper, first financial secretary and funer- al lunch director, and was a soloist. She also was active in the church’s prayer chain and caring ministries. In addition, Mrs. Knight served Meals on Wheels, worked with the Boy Scouts in Brownstown Town- ship and was a member of the Maple School PTA. Surviving are her husband, Mark W. of Flat Rock; three sons, Michael and Timothy of Flat Rock and Anthony of Highland; two daughters, Mrs. Carl (Deborah) DeLage of Dearborn and Mrs. Tim (Marcella) Gould of Flat Rock; three brothers, Dale Jack- son of Clearwater, Fla., Gerald Jackson of Riverview and Fred Jackson of Flat Rock; two sisters, Doris Brillowsky of Trenton and Pamela Krzeminski of Carleton, and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Robbie and Bobbie Jackson, and a sister, Vir- ginia Jackson.
