Born Dec. 7, 1919, in Detroit
he was the son of Otto anc
Anna (Arnolde) Scheel. He
married Ruth Brautley on Nov
17, 1945, in Knoxville, Tenn.

He was co-owner of Scheels
Concrete in Flat Rock. He
retired in 1974.

He served as an Army staf:
sergeant in World War II.

He was a member of Flat
Rock Lodge 1731, Benevolent
and Protective Order of Elks:
Flat Rock Kiwanis, where he
was past president; Carleton
Post 4093, VFW and South
Rockwood United Methodisi
Church.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth
of Flat Rock; three daughters.
Anna Lynn (Daniel) LaVigne
of Linden, Janet (Allen) Baker
of Londonderry, N.H., and
Susan (Henry) Wirta of Corte
Madera, Calif.; a brother,
Robert of Flat Rock; a sister,
Ruth (Dick) Boccabella of
Florida, and eight grandchil-
dren.

He was preceded in death by
a sister, Phyllis.
