Monroe E\ La, 4a To TFT7 DEATHS Katherine D. Kryk FLAT ROCK — Katherine D. Kryk, 49, of Flat Rock died Mon- day in her home. She had been ill with cancer. Friends. may call from 6 to 9 tonight and from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Martenson Funer- al Home, Allen Park. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday. Ser- vices will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the St. Roch Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Brown- | stown Township. Born April 17, 1948, she was the daughter of Spiro and Mary Ann (Sapiano) Grech. She married Val Kryk on Feb. 11, 1972, in St. Martha Catholic Church, Dear- born. She was employed by Flat Rock Community Schools as a secretary at Barnes Elementary School. She also was employed at Simpson Intermediate School for three years. She helped finance the con- struction on a new Flat Rock High School and served as secretary for, the group spearheading support for the new high school. She also served a two-year term as presi- dent of the Flat Rock Soroptomist _ Club. Surviving are her husband; two sons, Brian and Paul, both of Flat Rock; a brother, Steven Grech of Allen Park, and two sisters, Mrs. Louise Weglarz of Southgate and Mrs. Nancy Kosch of Dearborn. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorials may be made to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, Hospice of Monroe or the Flat Rock High School scholarship fund.
