Dr. John D. utsche 199 TRENTON —* Dr. Soke. Kutsche of Trenton, a former all- state Monroe High School athlete, died Aug. 30, A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were made by the Martenson Funeral Home in Trenton. Born in Detroit, he was the son of Arthur H.A. and Minnie (Busse) Kutsche. He was married to Estelle Katherine Kutsche. A 1936 graduate of Monroe High School, he was the senior class representative, junior class vice president, sophomore class _ President and freshman class pres- ident. He gave the name “Trojans” to the MHS athletic teams, and was all-state in basketball and track. He was an accomplished classical pianist and an honor stu- dent. . He attended the University of Michigan where he participated - in track, basketball and football. He was a member of the “M” Club for varsity letter winners and was a member of the “Shuttle Hurdle — Relay” team that set the world record at the Illinois relays. He attended the University of Michigan Medical School and completed his internship and resi- dency in internal medicine and cardiology at Henry Ford Hospi- tal. He opened his practice in internal medicine and cardiology in the Trenton area in 1948. He was on the staff of Wyandotte General Hospital and served as former chief of staff and continued to. practice medicine until his death.
