FLAT ROCK — Betty Iliene
Karoly, 74, of Flat Rock died at
6:33 p.m. Tuesday in Mercy
Memorial Hospital. She had been
ill since May of this year.

Friends may call from noon to
9 tonight in Arthur Bobcean
Funeral Home, Inc., Flat Rock and
noon until services at 2 p.m. Fri-
day in the funeral home. Dr.
Harold Clark of First Baptist
Church in Flat Rock and the Rey
Kathryn Reed of Carleton Church
of God, Carleton, will officiate.
Burial will be in Michigan Memo-
rial Park, Flat Rock.

Born April 7, 1921 in N apoleon,
Ohio, she was the daughter of
Trollis and Anna (Benskin) Payne. 1
She was married to Joseph |
Andrew Karoly on Dec. 30, 1939, i
in Ecorse. He preceded her in
death August, 1984. ‘

She was a homemaker, living in
Flat Rock since 1941. She was a
member of the First Baptist
Church of Flat Rock; Carleton
Church of God, Carleton, andof |
Flat Rock Chapter 156, Order of
the Eastern Star. ]

She is survived by two sons, |
Larry of Lincoln Park and David
of Flat Rock; two daughters, Mrs.
Charles (Beverly) Saujan of
Wayne and Mrs. Matthew
(Cheryle) Puchala of Flat Rock;
eight grandchildren, and one
greatgrandson.

She was preceded in death bya
brother, Boyd Leckler, and two
sisters, Donna Schaffer and Nina
Bleckner.
